Yesterday was my first “school party” with my son. The past 2 years have brought about several firsts that I will never forget. Like the first time I changed baby boys diaper, not my best but I learned what NOT to do. Even the first time I made him laugh. It was really the 5 little pigs that did it, I just helped tell the tale. I remember his first bite of solid food, yum a Banana! But the school party changes everything! Watching the children’s faces light up at the sight of new people in the class was priceless. I watched as they all listened so well, followed directions, waited turns, drank out of big cups and cleaned up from snack. It was impressive! And they are 2! All while talking to each other and the adults in the room with no fear. Totally safe and secure in the hands of these mothers. Being there was a reality check. I am thankful for my simple life. I am thankful for my ability to be there, in that moment, when my child is wearing an adorable homemade pumpkin hat with pride! I am thankful for my simple family, that is happy with homemade soup so we can have this life! I am thankful I can make soup! My name is Melissa and I am a Stay at Home Rock Star, House Manager, Childbirth Educator, Doula and so much more! Thanks for reading, talk to you soon:)
