Quiet Time

Quiet time with two active boys is like, well anyway I don’t even know what it would be like.

Honestly, I know it’s a big joke but if it is quiet, there is something going on. Maybe not naughty, usually just experimental.

Take today for instance, there was a huge muddy puddle, no water left just mud, in our neighbors driveway. I saw it. I knew the possibilities of this perfect activity. I played in so many puddles as a kid, I get it.

I walked away to make the beds and they got quiet. I heard the door close. When I went to see, they were covered from chin to toes in mud. We have to evacuate because of showings, but ya know- It’s Cool.

Roy goes first: “Did you know that before the government made fancy camouflage, soldiers would cover themselves in mud and dirt to hide.”

Then Joseph goes- “We are in the Military!”

They were both so proud. Joseph was probably proud that he was in the military and Roy was proud because he knew he had just gotten away with a big one.

I sent them to the hose and decided to enjoy the day.
